Dallas Cowboys Running Back Ezekiel Elliott Kindly Covers Funeral Expenses for Jaylon McKenzie

Over the weekend, the family of Jaylon McKenzie was tragically informed that the 14-year old student athlete was killed at a party. McKenzie’s mother, Sukeena Gunner, explained that her son was about to leave a party in Venice, Illinois when a fight broke out. According to Illinois State Police, McKenzie was hit by a stray bullet and eventually died at a local hospital.

Ezekiel Elliott privately reached out the family and generously offered to cover the funeral expenses.

The eighth grader was already becoming a star athlete with college scholarship offers from University of Missouri and University of Illinois. He was also featured in Future Issue of Sports Illustrated back in 2018 and picked to compete in the All-American All-Star Game, during the Pro Football Hall of Fame induction weekend.
